Junaid Jamshed


is a Pakistani recording artist who gained fame as the frontman of the pop group Vital Signs in 1987 with the hit song "Dil Dil Pakistan" and remained in demand through the 1990s. In 1994, he released his debut solo album Junaid of Vital Signs which also quickly became a national hit, followed by "Us Rah Par" in 1999 and "Dil Ki Baat" in 2002. Since then he has focused on religion and concentrated on singing nasheeds. His debut album Jalwa-e-Janan in 2005 was followed by Mehboob-e-Yazdaan in 2006, Badr-ud-Duja in 2008, and Badee-uz-zaman in 2009. He also runs a boutique with the name "J.", read as "Jay Dot", which has several outlets all over Pakistan.

Noor Jehan


(Punjabi, Urdu: نور جہاں) was the adopted stage name for Allah Wasai (September 21, 1926 – December 23, 2000) who was a singer and actress in British India and Pakistan. She is renowned as one of the greatest and most influential singers of her time in South Asia and was given the honorific title of Mallika-e-Tarranum (Urdu: ملکہ ترنم, English: the queen of melody).

Born in a family of musicians, Wasai was pushed by her parents to follow in their musical footsteps and become a singer but she was more interested in acting in films and graced the earliest Pakistani films with her performances. She holds a remarkable record of 10,000 songs to her singing credits in various languages of Pakistan including Urdu, Punjabi and Sindhi languages,[1] she is also considered to be the first female Pakistani film director.

In 1957, Jehan was awarded the President's Award for her acting and singing capabilities.

Abida Parveen


(born 1954) (Sindhi: عابده پروين, Urdu: عابده پروین), is a Pakistani singer and one of the foremost exponents of Sufi music (Sufiana kalaam). She sings mainly ghazals, Urdu love songs, and her forte, Kafis, a solo genre accompanied by percussion and harmonium, using a repertoire of songs by Sufi poets.[1] Parveen sings in Urdu, Sindhi, Seraiki, Punjabi and Persian, and together with Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan is considered one of the finest Sufi vocalists of the modern era.[2][3][4][5] A few years ago she has taken a Bay'ah (to sell ones self to a spiritual master) in the hands of Sahibzada Muhammad Najeeb Sultan. She has expressed Muhammad Najeeb Sultan as her spiritual master in many songs. In Dec.2009 she has launched an album in the name of her said spiritual master.

Rahat Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan


Faisalabad, Punjab[1], Pakistan) is a Pakistani musician , and primarily a singer of Qawwali, a devotional music of the Sufis (a mystical tradition within Islam). He is the nephew of Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.[2] In addition to Qawwali, he also performs ghazals and other light music. He has toured extensively and performed in Pakistan, India and all around the world.[3]

Bhosle is considered one of the most versatile South Asian singers — her range of songs includes film music, pop, ghazals, bhajans, traditional Indian Classical music, folk songs, qawwalis, Rabindra Sangeets and Nazrul Geetis. Bhosle is believed to have sung over 12,000 songs.
